Третья часть похождений знаменитого Чувака.
Сюжет как всегда попахивает шизофренией. Итак, легендарный Чувак (Dude) после всех своих прошлых деяний, вдруг почувствовал в себе решимость побороться за пост президента США. Сказано – сделано. Но на пути нашего героя встанет множество препятствий. Путь к президентскому креслу лежит через толпы конкурентов, подкупных адвокатов и злобных талибов. Однако разработчики сообщают, что Postal 3 будет куда более гуманной игрой чем предыдущие части. Многие ситуации можно будет разрешить мирным путем, избежав насилия. Например, в одном из эпизодов игроки обнаружат раненного человека. Список возможных действий довольно широк. Можно просто проигнорировать несчастного или отнести его в ближайшую больницу. Хотя, можно и просто добить раненного. Чтобы не мучался.
Catharsis: Reborn is a Postal III total conversion mod developed by Whackjob Interactive and endorsed/approved of by Running with Scissors, due for release when it's done.
It serves as an alternate universe sequel to Apocalypse Weekend, with the Postal Dude winding up in a dirtier and much more urban Catharsis up north of Paradise after his car breaks down. Similarly to POSTAL 2, he'll suffer through at least five days of crappy temp jobs set up by an employment agency while banding with some newfound friends to get the out of Dodge.
WHAT WE HAVE PLANNED:
-A darker, bigger Catharsis inspired by the 2007 gameplay trailers and the Ghetto level from the original POSTAL.
-A new Postal Dude model. (created from the recreation of the Postal III Beta model and his Apocalypse Weekend head mesh)
-At least 5 days of errands/temp jobs. Each will be marked with cutscens.
-New weapon models. (EXAMPLE: turning the M1911/HP Browning into a Desert Eagle)
-Redone weapon sounds and scripts so they feel more impactful/more fun to use.
-Story elements from the games and movie.
-Incorporating certain mods from community members and RWS themselves, provided they're popular enough, i.e the No DRM Patch.
-An explanation for why all the cars are exploding, useless props.
-A cameo from a few video game companies.
-A mission structure similar to POSTAL 2, in that you have to walk to the mission's designated area for it to begin. The further you are in the story, the more of Catharsis you get to roam around in.
-Free roam unlocked at the start, in case you want to mess around with everything first. (NOTE: this was a feature planned for Postal III, but it was shelved until the v1.12 patch, and even then, you had to beat the game to unlock it.)
-A low-graphics settings mod so your toasters can play the game.
-Some potential modding to get jumping at will back into the game.
